Assalamu Alaikum, dear brothers and sisters. Today, I invite you to join me on a journey—not just any journey, but one that may touch your heart, shift your thinking, and bring you closer to the deeper truths that often lie hidden beneath the surface of our everyday lives.
In this world of trials and confusion, there are moments when we stumble upon something so profound that it changes us completely. And sometimes, this realization comes not through words alone, but through quiet reflection, divine insight, or a heartfelt message that seems meant just for us. If you’re here today, perhaps you were meant to hear this.
The Struggles of Love and Life
Let’s be honest. Life is full of challenges—especially when it comes to matters of the heart. Whether it’s a broken relationship, a misunderstanding with someone we love, or a silent longing for connection, these experiences can leave us feeling empty and uncertain.
You may have asked yourself: "Why does love hurt so much?" or "Why do people pull away when all I want is to be close to them?"
These are very human questions, and Islam recognizes our emotional and spiritual needs. Allah ï·» created the heart to love, but He also created it to endure, to reflect, and to grow through every experience.
A Hidden Truth About Someone You Love
Today, you may feel unsettled. Perhaps there is someone in your life who has grown distant—someone you once shared everything with, but who now avoids eye contact, ignores your messages, or hides behind silence.
Here’s the truth: they are not avoiding you out of hatred or cruelty. They are running from something inside themselves. In Islam, we are taught that every soul is tested, and sometimes people act out of fear rather than truth. They may be afraid of being truly seen, of exposing their vulnerabilities. They wear masks, not to deceive, but to protect their fragile selves.
Why They Can’t Speak Their Heart
Allah knows what lies within every soul. As the Qur’an says:
"And He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing." [Surah Al-Hadid: 4]
The person you care about may have created distance because they feel unworthy of love. They carry emotional burdens—shame, regret, and perhaps sins they’ve never confessed to anyone. Instead of being honest with you, they remain silent, hoping to avoid pain. But deep inside, they wish they could tell you everything.
And if they could, they might say:
"This is who I truly am. I’m not perfect, but I love you. Will you still accept me?"
The Message in Their Silence
While they may never say these words aloud, silence can be a message too. Sometimes Allah uses the actions of others to test our patience, deepen our understanding, and remind us to rely only on Him.
This person may one day open up, or perhaps they never will. But your task is not to fix them. Your role is to seek clarity and strength from Allah.
When we seek guidance through du’a (supplication), through prayer, and through reflection on the Qur’an, the answers come—not always immediately, but always at the right time.
You Are Not Alone
Dear soul, please remember this:
You are not alone.
Allah never abandons those who turn to Him in sincerity. He hears the cries of the brokenhearted. The Prophet ï·º said:
"Indeed, Allah is with the brokenhearted." (Reported in Ibn Majah)
So if you feel like your heart has been shattered by someone’s silence, know that your Creator sees you, knows your pain, and will guide you through it.
The Meaning of Love in Islam
Love in Islam is not merely a fleeting feeling. It is an act of worship when directed rightly. It is patient. It is respectful. It is honest. And most importantly, it is grounded in submission to Allah.
If someone truly loves you, they will love you in a way that brings both of you closer to Jannah (Paradise), not further into confusion. A love that is built on truth, tawakkul (trust in Allah), and prayer is a love worth waiting for.
Let Go of What Hurts, Embrace What Heals
Let go of the burden of trying to understand someone who cannot yet understand themselves. Do not chase after love that flees from you. Instead, turn to the One whose love is eternal and unconditional—Ar-Rahman (The Most Merciful), Ar-Raheem (The Most Compassionate).
In your sadness, say:
"Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakeel – Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs." [Qur’an 3:173]
This is not just a statement; it’s a declaration of trust. When you let go of people who confuse you, you make space for clarity, peace, and divine healing.
What to Do Now
Take this moment to breathe deeply. Close your eyes and whisper this du’a from your heart:
"O Allah, if this person is meant for me, bring our hearts together in truth, faith, and mercy. But if they are not good for my dunya or akhirah, remove them gently from my path, and do not let my heart break in the process. Ameen."
And while you wait for the answer, focus on your own healing.
Spend time with the Qur’an. Reconnect with your prayers. Strengthen your relationship with your Creator. Because the more you build yourself in the presence of Allah, the less you will be shaken by the absence of others.
You Are Love
One of the most powerful realizations in both spiritual and Islamic tradition is this: you were created with love, by the Most Loving. You don’t need to prove your worth to be loved. You don’t have to chase people to be seen.
The Prophet ï·º said:
"When Allah loves a servant, He calls Jibreel and says, ‘I love so-and-so, so love him.’ Then Jibreel loves him, and calls out in the heavens, saying, ‘Allah loves so-and-so, so love him,’ and the inhabitants of the heavens love him, and acceptance is placed for him on earth." (Sahih al-Bukhari)
What an honor it is to be loved by Allah. Let this be your focus.
Closing Reflection
As we close today’s message, I invite you to reflect:
Have you been placing your trust in someone who cannot carry it? Have you forgotten the One who knows your heart better than anyone?
Return to Allah. Seek His guidance. Trust in His plan. And most importantly, don’t lose hope.
Even when people disappear, even when love seems lost, Allah remains. And His plan for you is always better than anything you could have imagined.
